Computer Resource Centre

Newly renovated and boasting state of the art equipment, the Computer Resource Centre is your one stop shop for computing needs. Incorporating the only 24 HR computing suite on campus, available for use by students of all faculties, the Computer Resource Centre is located on level 2 (ground floor) and Level 3 of Union House (opposite the Barr Smith Lawns). The computer suite is a great alternative if your faculty’s computing suite is full.

Fully equipped with over 50 PC's, we also offer black & white and colour photocopying/laser printing, faxing, binding, laminating, and scanning. Staff are on hand to provide assistance.

Our services are available to all Adelaide University students.

Computer Access

Want a computer for Word processing, to check your email, use the internet or connect to other services on campus?

This is a general computing suite and there are PCs available for use by all Adelaide University students. Just come in and log on using your student ID number and password. Access to these computers is available 24hours a day, 7 days a week. Just have your student card activated for after-hours access at Card Services and you will be able to gain entry to both the upstairs and downstairs suite at any time. All our computers have 3.5” floppy disk drives, CD-ROM drives and USB connections.

Photocopying & Printing

Just want to print something?

We have 51 PCs available for students to use (18 on the ground level and 33 on level 3) – all are attached to a laser printer. Printing from these machines is charged to your student printing account at the rate of 10c per page. Colour prints are also available – just ask our staff.

Want to do some photocopying?

A3 and A4 black & white and colour copying is available as well as double sided in both paper sizes. We can also copy and print overhead transparencies for you. However, due to the damage that some transparencies cause to our copiers, we DO NOT allow you to supply your own transparencies. No need for a copy card - just pay cash at the counter.

Other Services

Need to scan something?

Our colour scanner can be used to scan text for a wordprocessor document or photos for email or to use in presentations and assignments. Haven’t used a scanner before? Just ask – we will be happy to show you how.

How about Binding?

Plastic Coil binding is available to bind your essays and assignments. You can purchase the materials from us and we can teach you how to use the binding machines.

Need something Laminated?

Get your posters laminated - we can do up to 75cm wide and any length. This is an overnight service - drop your posters in by 4pm and pick up the next day after 10am.

Fax Services?

We can fax documents for you locally, interstate or overseas. Faxes can also be received for you.
