Orientation

There are some events that have become a tradition at Adelaide University, and have been occurring annually since the dawn of time (well, at least as far back as anyone can remember). One of these is Orientation Week, or O’Week for short.

O’Week incorporates O’Ball and O’Camp and is a series of events put on by the Student’s Association of the University of Adelaide (SAUA) and the AUU. Run by students, for students, O’Week introduces new students to campus life each year with a celebration of music, games, food, drink and laughter, which takes place on the Barr-Smith Lawns in the week before academic lectures begin.

The week is topped off with many night events including a Comedy Night, a dance party called O’Hop, and various other events such as Quiz Nights, Cinema on the Lawns and Pub Crawls.  The week of partying culminates in O’Ball, which delivers an outdoor concert featuring the best national and local bands for your listening pleasure.
